PURPOSE OF JOB
To set up and operate production machinery to ensure the efficient running of the production environment, which may include 1st line maintenance support where required.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Cleaning of machines, benches, floors, PPE, etc. according to planned routine. Packing materials in storage areas according to planned routine
Safe handling, packing and storage of raw materials / hazardous chemicals / gas cylinders, Loading and off loading of vehicles
Ensure general neatness of area of responsibility. Perform painting tasks as planned Sasol Nitro Employee Induction including Emergency Preparedness Ad hoc job related tasks on request of more senior personnel
Work overtime as and when required Safe and correct use of hand tools and equipment Safe handling of process chemicals and explosives
Off loading tankers (where applicable Preparation and handling of Gassing solution Cleaning and decontamination of Bulk Truck General
Maintenance assist with breakdowns and on site services on MMUs ATM Determination of Gassing properties Assist to maintain general health, safety and environmental systems
Correct identification and use of PPE Participation in emergency preparedness exercises Routine inspection on safety equipment and ensure maintenance where applicable
Adhere to all safety and work standards Working at heights permit if necessary Conduct OUPA System and BBS observations where applicable Blasting tasks (where applicable).
JOB REQUIREMENTS
FORMAL EDUCATION
- High School / School Diploma or similar
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
- Experience: 1+ relevant years
