SEMI SKILLED JOBS

This category of employee usually works on the production line or production line support functions.

Demonstrating an inquiring mind and the ability to complete physical tasks under pressure are main features of this role.

Gaining experience in this area of the business is a great way start your career with us and to obtain an understanding of the building blocks of our products.

Team Member

The goal of a team member is to be multi-functional. Members in this position must have a fundamental understanding, knowledge and skills to perform operations in the manufacturing areas.

Production members should be able to move from one manufacturing area to the next with minimal training.

  • Matric
  • N3 advantageous

Key Performance Areas

  • Work in a manufacturing environment emphasizing teamwork, safety, training and discipline.
  • Follow standardized work procedures.
  • Work in a team on safety, quality, productivity and cost improvement projects.

Designated Artisan

To fulfil the relevant requirements within the Maintenance Department so as to enable the department to support Stable Production by maximising plant availability through the stable supply of utilities.

What Toyota looks for?

  • N3 + Trade test
  • Experience in Electrical Substations
  • Experience in pneumatics
  • Electro-pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Knowledge on the Occupational Health and Safety Act No.85 of 1993

Key Performance Areas

  • Support Stable Production.
  • Troubleshooting on electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Maintain infrastructure in areas of responsibility.
  • Meet Energy, Water and Gas targets as well as meet quality standards.
  • Record performance data and generate breakdown reports.
  • Participate in project, development and kaizen activities.
