Western Cape Government: CASP Graduate Internship Programme 2023
The Western Cape Provincial Government is inviting unemployed graduates to apply for the CASP Graduate Internship Programme 2023.

NVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PLACEMENT OF UNEMPLOYED GRADUATES IN AGRICULTURE ON FARMS FOR ENTREPRENEURIAL DEVELOPMENT FUNDED THROUGH THE COMPREHENSIVE AGRICULTURAL SUPPORT PROGRAMME (CASP).
This programme aims for proper placement of unemployment graduates with agriculture related qualifications in relevant farms or enterprises within the agricultural value chain to reduce the unemployment rate among youth.
Further provide them with required practical hands-on experience and by linking participants with potential entities that support development of entrepreneurs in the Western Cape.

- Agricultural communication/ journalism
- Agricultural Engineering/design
- Computer Science with Python and Arduino programming
Requirements
Unemployed Western Cape graduates from colleges of Agriculture and Diplomas in Agriculture will receive first priority Youth (18-35 years)
Applicants must be entering internship/developmental programme in Government for the first time.
Nature and period of appointment
Successful applicants will be appointed on a fixed term contract in line with the DPSA internship guidelines for a period of two (2) years.
Successful applicants will receive an annual stipend of R87 000 for the first year. The stipend for the second year will be subjected to a 5% cost of living adjustment.
- Year 1: Stipend R 87, 000
- Year 2: Stipend R 91,350
Recommendation: Applicants placed in rural Afrikaans communities must be able to speak and understand Afrikaans as a language of communication
Women and Persons with Disabilities are encouraged to apply. Private studies will not be allowed during the two year participation in the programme.
