The Eco-tourism and Access division at CapeNature is hiring a Data Capturer on a contract running until 31 March 2025.

  • Location: Cape Town, Western Cape

Job Description

This is an Expanded Public Works Programme implemented by CapeNature in accordance to applicable Ministerial Determination and related prescripts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Capture data on all EPWP, ICM and Services project data on the required National EPWP reporting System monthly.

  • Provide and promote an efficient and friendly customer service (internally and externally)

  • Receipt, analyse and verify EPWP Project reports from regions and capture.
  • General administration & correspondence

  • Perform other administration duties as required by Stakeholder Engagement and Access Programme Management.
  • Coordinate logistics for audits of EPWP projects.

  • Keep proper records (Files) of all reports and beneficiary details.
  • Update the reporting system tracking matrix and follow up on Areas that are not compliant.

  • Provide EPWP Projects performance reports as and when required.
  • Conduct EPWPRS related support and training to other EAC sector stakeholders as and when required.

 REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) Qualification.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (E-mail, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Sound administrative, financial and communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal; writing; and presentation skills.

  • Ability to speak two of the Western Cape official languages.
  • Ability and proven record to capture on EPWPRS V1 and V2

  • Ability to work both alone and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Competency and proven record in data capturing.

RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Computer literacy in MS Word and Excel
  • Experience in Office Administration
  • Possession of a valid code 8 driver’s license.
