Do you aspire to make a difference for people seeking safety? Come intern at Refugees International!

During the summer of 2023, Refugees International (RI) will host interns for periods of eight to ten weeks.

Receiving a stipend of $4,000 to defer living and other personal expenses, students enrolled in an accredited university have the opportunity to work closely with advocates to research and engage on important refugee, displacement, humanitarian, and human rights issues needing urgent attention and action.

The RI Scholarship Fund encourages applications from members of historically underrepresented groups, with the goal of promoting, within the profession, a community that represents the rich range of talents of people from a diversity of backgrounds and experiences. 

If you are interested, you should meet the following criteria: 

• Be enrolled as an undergraduate student, graduate student, or have graduated within the past year;
• Be seeking the internship as part of the educational experience related to the program in which they are enrolled;

• Be willing to intern for the recommended hours of 250 hours over the course of the internship within the 9:00 am – 5:00 pm EST period in which their supervisor will be available, unless further discussed and approve by their supervisor;

• Have a strong interest in international refugee and humanitarian affairs;
• Have specific skills or in-depth knowledge as they apply to specific positions.
