The Department of Public Works & Infrastructure is recruiting and invites applications for the CANDIDATE ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIST (X7 POSTS).

REQUIREMENTS : National Senior Certificate, B Degree in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or relevant qualification.

Registration as Candidate Engineering Technologist with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) is compulsory. Valid Driver’s licence. No previous experience is required.

Technical Competencies: Project management, Technical design and analysis knowledge, Research and development,

Computer-aided engineering applications, technical report writing, networking, Professional judgement.

Generic Competencies: Decision making, Team work, Analytical skills, Creativity, Self-Management,

Customer focus and responsiveness, communication, computer skills, Planning and organising, Problem solving and analysis.

DUTIES : Aligned to the SACPCMP requirements for Professional Registration.
