The SABC Video Entertainment division is recruiting and invites applications for the 2023 Internship Programme (Content Coordinator: x2 Radio /TV (Sport Content)).

Closing date: 22 March 2023

MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION

Organise and co-ordinate the department’s administration and audit documents required.

To ensure that all broadcast related documents for TV/Radio and Digital are timeously received and filed and made readily available for Audit purposes for organizational effectiveness and efficiencies.

Develop and oversee departmental communication protocols, streamline and report on administrative procedures, inventory control under the leadership of the Manager: Sport Content and team

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Reconcile monthly schedules for Radio
  • Ensures that all FCC and Music Cue Sheets are delivered to station
  • Co-ordinate required material delivery for timeous transmission

  • Ensure all departmental record keeping is in line with Video Entertainment’s file plan management policies.
  • Co-ordinate the required internal and external audits requirements

  • Assist with the preparation of presentations and materials to be used in meetings and strategic planning sessions for Radio output.

  • Assist with the submission of divisional reports, presentations, and documents to the various approval committees.

  • Assist with workflow-planning and roll-out of new initiatives within the department

  • Assist with workflow-planning and roll-out of new initiatives within the department.

  • Ensure all Departmental standard operating procedures, service level agreements and policies are updated, approved and distributed as required by the organisation for all television stakeholders.
  • Reconcile all Sport content delivered against contractual commitments.

  • Reconcile monthly all sport schedules for Radio
  • Monthly reporting on language delivery across all sport local magazine shows and live sport broadcasts

  • Assist with preparing of documentation and information for publication on the Radio digital platforms to ensure on going information sharing.

  • Liaise with internal and external Stakeholders and maintain an effective, professional interface with all.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships between the organisation and its stakeholders.

  • Liaise with internal and external parties on matters related to the Department and maintain sound relationships with stakeholders relevant to Video Entertainment

  • Adherence and compliance with the Department, Division and Organisational governance framework.

  • Report and manage the Departmental operational risk register and ensure monthly reporting and system updating.

REQUIREMENTS

  • National Diploma in Project Management, Media Studies, Communications, Business Administration or related qualification (NQF 6)
  • Understanding of policies and standard operating procedure.

  • General knowledge.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft, SAP, the Internet etc.)
  • Creativity and innovation.

  • Proactive and action-orientated.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Planning and organisation
