Ikwezi Mining, a visionary mining company operating in the Kwa-Zulu Natal province of South Africa, is hiring for exciting positions!
Location: Ikwezi Head Office in Midrand
Ikwezi operate the Kliprand Colliery and Emoyeni coal beneficiation plant in Dannhauser, Kwa-Zulu Natal and are in the process of developing the Ikwezi Ngagane rail siding near the Ngagane power station in Newcastle.
The following positions have arisen at Ikwezi Head Office in Midrand.
1. Assistant corporate Secretary
Minimum Requirements:
- LLB degree
- 1 Years’ experience in related position
- Exceptionally organised to deal with a variety of tasks, efficiently control large volumes of paperwork.
- Be able to work within tight procedural constraints whilst combining the ability to work to tight deadlines and cope with pressure.
- Attention to detail
- Good and effective communication skills
2. Legal and compliance Officer
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualification LLB and any other legal qualification
- 3 years of legal experience in a similar role
- Knowledgeable with MS Office programs
- Interpersonal relations and customer oriented skills
- Good and effective communication skills
- Manufacturing or mining experience would be an added advantage
3. Creditors lerck
Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary education in Accounting or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable or similar role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations regarding accounts payable
- Good organizational and time management skills
4.Debtors Clerk
Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary education in Accounting or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable or similar role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations regarding accounts payable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Environmental Internship
Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary education in Environmental Science, or a related field
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
6. IT Manager
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management roles, preferably in the mining or natural resources industry
- Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and network systems, as well as IT security and compliance standards
- Experience managing IT teams and budgets
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
7. Treasury Operations (BCD)
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in in
- Bachelor’s degree in in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
- At least 2-3 years of experience in treasury operations or related role, with a strong understanding of treasury management processes and tools
- Knowledge of financial instruments such as derivatives, foreign exchange, and interest rate risk management
- Experience in managing cash balances, liquidity, and funding requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, analyze and mitigate financial risks
- Ability to maintain banking relationships and negotiate favorable terms and conditions for banking services
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders such as finance, accounting, and legal teams.
