Location: Burgersfort, South Africa
This role is in the Engineering Operations Department at a B4 level reporting to the Transport Foreman.
Job Description: As a Light Vehicle Driver, you will be responsible for the following:
- Ensure proper understanding of the required actions and orders.
- Apply recognized work, driving and safety standards
- Ensure that tasks are completed to required quality standards.
- Conduct daily inspection prior to usage.
- Ensure that the vehicle is maintained according to set schedule.
- Identify any unexpected problems that could require higher level technical support to vehicle.
- Compile an accurate daily report.
- Report to supervisor when task complete.
- Drive vehicle according to load.
- Ensure that regular inspections are carried out on vehicle to ensure road worthiness.
Qualifications:
- Grade 10
Experience:
- Five years driving experience with a code 10
Additional information:
- Good written verbal and communication skills in English
- Code 10 Driver’s License
- Professional Driving Permit – advantageous
- Must be prepared to do standby duties, work overtime when required
- If successful, you will be required to undergro a Medical Fitness Test
