2023 Mechanical Engineering Internship at Performing Arts Centre of the Free State

The Performing Arts Centre of the Free State (PACOFS) is inviting applications for the Mechanical Engineering Internship 2023.

Suitably qualified candidates are invited to apply for the above-mentioned vacant internship programme.

Stipend: R7 500 (all-inclusive per month).

JOB SPECIFICATION:

Perform a full lifecycle product development (design, develop, test prototypes, manufacture and implement).

Design systems and components that meet needs and requirements. • Produce outline designs. • Conduct experiments methodically, analyse data and interpret results.

Test and evaluate theoretical designs. • Identify, formulate, and produce effective solutions to emerging problems.

Estimate budget and scope of project. • Prepare product reports and documentation. • Engage in lifelong learning and develop new theories or methods.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT

A 3 – year National Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Please note: Preference will be given to Free State residents. Interns invited for interview will be required to provide proof of residence.

Candidates with working experience or who have been in an internship programme before MUST NOT apply as they will not be considered.
