SMU is situated in Ga-Rankuwa (North of Pretoria) and the following positions are currently available: CLEANER (16 POSTS): Ref: 9/KM/2023/P16
The University is looking for energetic individuals who will take pride in cleanliness and be responsible for the overall general cleaning duties and any other related functions.
He/she will report to the Head of Department (HOD): Campus Cleaning, and must meet the requirements, competencies and be responsible for the key performance areas listed below.
REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 10/ Standard 8
- At least two (2) years’ experience as a Cleaner
- Free from skin allergies to detergents, etc.
- Experience and knowledge relating to the use of cleaning equipment, chemicals and substances

- Assist in other areas when required and to attend to all reasonable requests made by management
- Ensure compliance with SHE policies and procedures
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Line Manager
- Contribute to the overall development of SMU and actively improve institutional culture
