Dr J.S Moroka Local Municipality invites applications for the vacant posts of GENERAL ASSISTANT-ROADS & STORM WATER X9.
SALARY: R 136 886, 68 per annum (Task Grade 05/1), excluding benefits
REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic Literary and/or Grade 10.
- Ability read and understand written instructions.
- 0 – 1 years’ experience required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Carrying out excavation work using pick, shovel spade, pick-axe, wheelbarrow, rake, fork and broom to remove unwanted materials.
Operating mechanical tools and vibrator roller and tar cutter to excavate defined areas.
Compacting trenches before laying of pipes by using hand compacter to prevent trench subsiding.
Laying paving slabs, interlocking blocks and kerbs by hand.
