For South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) grant beneficiaries, the start of the upcoming month means their grant payment will soon be made by Sassa.
Here are the Sassa grant payment dates for October 2022.
Sassa social grant recipients have three different ways to get their grant payout which include: direct deposits into their bank accounts, through CashSend, or through their Sassa cards.
Selected supermarkets such as Pick & Pay, Boxer, Shoprite, Checkers, or Save merchants are locations where grant payments can be collected as well.
Here are the grant payment dates for the rest of October 2022:
- Older person’s grant: Monday 3 October
- This includes any grants linked to this account
- Disability grant: Tuesday 4 October
- This includes any grants linked to this account
- Rest of the Sassa grants: Wednesday 5 October
Grants and allowances are provided by the Sassa to impoverished, disadvantaged citizens of the country.
Children’s grants, grants for the elderly, grants for people with disabilities, as well as the R350 Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant are among these.
SRD grant payment dates are not fixed and there is therefore no fixed SRD payment schedule.
Beneficiaries will however be able to see grant payment dates on their SRD portals and should wait for an SMS saying their grant is ready to be collected.
