CAPITEC clients are fuming across Mzansi as its banking services are down. Since Thursday, 4 August, customers have been unable to use the banking app, USSD and internet banking.

And on Friday morning, the bank issued an update on its social media platforms, stating that it was facing an infrastructure problem in the central servers that supported its banking channels.

“We realise this is a terrible experience for our clients and apologise for the inconvenience if you have tried to make use of our banking app, USSD and internet banking in the last 24 hours.

“We are absolutely committed to resolving this as soon as possible and have a team of technology experts correcting the problem,” read the statement.

Customers have been advised to make use of card payments and ATMs.

“We will keep you updated with developments,” the bank added.
