Heirs Life launches nationwide essay competition for Nigerian children
LAGOS. – Nigerian life assurance company Heirs has kicked off the Heirs Life Essay Championship which is open to school children across Nigeria between ages 8-13.
Through the competition, the company seeks to showcase the creativity and talent among Nigeria’s pre-teenagers.

The entrants have to write a 500-word essay titled: If I were the President of Nigeria, and submit online over the company’s portal.
The Chief Marketing Officer, Heirs Life Assurance, Ms Ifesinachi Okpagu, said school children should notify their respective schools of their participation.
Okpagu reiterated that any entry that is not backed by confirmation from participant’s school will be invalid and liable to be rejected.
Winner’s prizes
“Prizes to be won include a brand-new laptop for the winning student, N500,000 worth of books and educational materials donated to the winning school, and several other prizes,” she said.
She added that the competition provides a platform for students to express themselves in the most creative way possible.
“There is no doubt that this approach will empower the younger generation to dream and pursue their ambition without restriction,” Okpagu said.
